Try this: send your midi track to a new buss. What you’re reporting has never happened to me.
#NO SOUND STUDIO ONE PRO#
I’m running studio one pro (latest version) on win 10 with RME madifx I am thinking that the loopback function may provide a solution, but I am uncertain how Studio One might display the loopback channel. When I attempt to route one midi instrument vst to a second and record audio in the second vst, the monitor icon is grayed out. However, TM seems to disable this process in Studio One.

This can be achieved in just about any DAW even on the IPad platform A common situation would be to route the midi output from a plug-in to the midi input of a second plug-in. Call OBEDIA for one on one training for PreSonus Studio One and all digital audio hardware and software. There are instances where I need to record simultaneous midi and audio channels. Its faster than blogs, videos, or tutorials. However, I am trying to work around another discrepancy which centers around TM inability to process midi channels. I also need to bounce my midi tracks before mastering, a task which Studio handled internally. I just need to ignore Pipeline as a resource. The problem is probably somewhere in reaper but somebody can surely help me.In a earlier post I noticed that the Pipeline Xt plug-in no longer accept an audio signal, which is acceptable due to the routing capabilities of TM. I can’t understand why this is happening and it has been bothering me for a couple of days now. If I now go to studio monitor from NDI tools in computer Nr 2 I can find channel 1, choose it and hear the sound that is being sent from reaper on computer Nr 1. When I now go to computer Nr 2 and choose in FX library VST3 enabled NDI input, I can find channel 1 that I sent from the other computer and select it but there is no sound coming through. In Reaper I go into FX library on channel 1 I choose NDI enabled VST plugin and add it as output. But when I open Reaper on computer Nr 1 and use NDI Audio with the VST3 plugin to send specific channels to the computer Nr 2 there is no audio coming into Reaper.įor example I want to send channel 1 to computer Nr 2. So there is nothing wrong with my connection. The computers are connected through NDI bridge, I can send my desktop fromĬomputer Nr 1 and see it on the computer Nr 2 in studio monitor. From computer Nr 1 I want to send it through NDI to computer Nr 2 that will work as my DAW.įinally the mastered audio I want to send to computer Nr 3 that is doing a Livestream. So I got an qu-32 that I’m sending audio from through an usb cable to computer Nr 1. The results are always the same, Plugin sees the source but does not provide audio to Studio One, but does in Ardour.Ĭlick to expand.I’ve tried following your steps but I seem to get something wrong, can you please help? I have also tried using a local NDI source. I tried turning the firewall off and it did not help.
#NO SOUND STUDIO ONE WINDOWS#
I am running both Studio One version 5 and Ardour version 6 on a Windows 11 64-bit platform.

I have tried similar network audio streaming plugins like ReaStream with Studio One and they work correctly, so I am confident my configuration is correct. I have tested the plug-in applied to both a Track and an AUX channel. I did add the included meter plugin directly after NDI in the chain, and it shows no signal. It would be nice if these plug-ins included a data in/out indicator and a basic audio meter, to help troubleshoot. The NDI In plugin running in Studio One does correctly discover the available network NDI sources, so it seems like it is working, but there is no audio. The open-source DAW Ardour works correctly with both In and Out. The NDI Out plugin works as expected to send audio out of the track. The NDI In plugin is not adding audio to the track it is applied to. The VST plugins included with NDI's new Audio Direct feature doesn't appear to work correctly with PreSonus' Studio One DAW.
